CTES welcomes children’s author Ginjer Clarke!

On Thursday, March 11, 2010, CTES will welcome children’s bestselling author Ginjer L. Clarke. In three K-2 workshops, Ms. Clarke will read her exciting nonfiction animal books, talk about being an author, how a book gets made, writing tips and exercises, and share fascinating facts about some unusual creatures. 

Ginjer L. Clarke’s books have sold more than 2 million copies worldwide since 2000; have been positively reviewed in Booklist, School Library Journal, and Horn Book; and are featured in both Scholastic and Bedford Falls book fairs. Her book Platypus! was awarded the 2005 Maryland Library Association Blue Crab Young Reader Award for Nonfiction and selected by the National Science Teachers Association as recommended classroom reading.

All books are paperbacks and are part of the All Aboard Science reader series, targeted for ages 6 to 9.
